Golf Cart

Are you a golf cart owner? Perhaps, you are new to the world of golf carts and want to know how to properly maintain them. Here at Beiter DC Power we are interested in ensuring our customers get the right products, as well as provide them with the information that is needed to keep their products running efficiently.

Taking proper care of your golf cart is essential. When proper care is given,  your golf cart could last many years. No one wants to be left stranded when heading out for the day to play golf, and that is why maintenance is so important.

Here are some tips to help keep your golf cart performing at optimal levels.

Battery

The battery is one of the most essential parts of the cart, because it will help get you from point A to point B. You want to ensure that it is charged correctly, or this could affect the life of the battery. Use the correct charger to ensure your battery is fully charged each and every time you use it. Check the battery terminals to ensure that the posts and connectors are free of corrosion, as this could hinder the way it performs and charges. If corrosion is visible, then take care to clean it off. Check your battery acid levels to ensure they have the correct amount of acid. Otherwise, this could damage the battery.

Exterior of the Golf Cart

Keep the exterior of the cart in pristine condition by protecting it from weather elements. This can be done by properly storing it when not in use. If you do not have a garage or shed that the cart can be stored in, invest in a golf cart cover. This will help keep the exterior of your golf cart in top condition. Otherwise, you risk issues occurring with the paint or material of the seats or top cover. If you have leather seats, you will want to use a leather protection product to keep them from drying out and cracking.

Tires and Suspension

Check your tires to ensure that they are properly inflated. This will help extend the life of the tire. Driving around on tires that are improperly inflated will cause damage to the tires, and may result in you having to replace the tires long before its time. At least twice a year, you will want to check the undercarriage of the golf cart. This will unveil any issues with the suspension.

These are just some of the maintenance tasks that you will want to perform each and every year. We carry a large range of golf cart batteries from top name brands that you know and love. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or through the form below.
